On September 20, 1922, Ruth became the first child of the lovely marriage of parents: Hardy Shaw and Loursia Ellison Shaw. She attained her education in the Caldwell County School System. She accepted the salvation of Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age. In the summer of 1958, after a period of courtship, she accepted the hand of Bennie Wimbrey in marriage on July 17, 1958. Their marriage covered a period of over 50 years. Ruth had many passions and enjoyments and enjoyed western and country music. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years Bennie Wimbrey. Her three sons: Arthur, Floyd Taylor and Edward Moss. Her Parents. Her three sisters: Dillie Wilson, Beulah Reed and Pearl Masters. Two brothers: Orvil and Hardy Shaw. She was a long time member of McMillan United Methodist Church in Fort Worth until her failing health wouldn't allow her to attend. Survived by her sister: Oddie Hardeman; Step-Son: Bennie Wimbrey Jr.; Step-Daughter: Shirley Ann Harris; Granddaughters: Jennifer and Naomi Moss; Great-Grandchildren; Sisters-In-Law: Joann Shaw and Susie Shaw; Special Nephew: Brederick Conley and a host of other family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Immanuels Healthcare. The family of Ruth Wimbrey will not forget the love, care, comfort and kindness you poured out to our loved one throughout her residence with you. Words can not express the gratitude we feel that you all were there for her during her final days. We pray a special blessing to you all.
