Beryl T. Adams

Beryl Thomas Adams was born on the Wineglass Ranch in Haigler, Nebraska on October 20, 1919. He earned a Bronze Star as a Technical Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war, he met and married Mary Jane Lawson of Fort Worth, Texas on September 7, 1946. The couple moved to Boulder, Colorado where he graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Electrical Engineering. When the couple moved back to Fort Worth he began a career at Convair/General Dynamics. After retiring from the aircraft industry, the couple ran the Belknap Bargain Center. They were members of Birdville Church of Christ. After the death of his wife of 66 years, he found pleasure in reconnecting with old friends in his home town of Haigler. He lived a good long life just a few weeks shy of his 101st birthday. Bo, as he was known by his family and friends, was able to live out his life at home. He beat cancer twice. Up to a few months back he was still baking bread and cinnamon rolls. He was kind, strong, smart and wise. He was a doting grandfather to his only grandchild, Rachel. He later taught Casee, his great-granddaughter, how to work Sudoku puzzles, checkers, and shared his love of reading with her. Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Gertye Adams; sister, Irma Carson; and wife, Mary Jane. He is survived by his son, David and wife, Laurie; daughter, Janie and husband, Tony; one granddaughter, Rachel and one great-granddaughter, Casee.
