On December 16, 1932, Bobby Joe Henry began his journey of a time to be born and on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, he arrived at his time to die. He was the sixth child out of 13 children born to Robert Lee and Roveilia (Humphrey) Henry, Sr. Bobby married Jerlene Henderson in 1950 and from this union came Cynthia, Dorothy, and Becky. After several years, they parted ways and Bobby later married Betty Jean Woods. From this union came Danny, Darren and Pamela. After the death of Betty, Bobby married Josephine High. The marriage was brief and no children were born. Bobby was a high school graduate; served his country in Korea with the US Army; retired from Texas Steel as a welder and then drove a school bus for the FWISD. Bobby was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, where he served and participated in The Outreach Ministry, Sunday School Superintendent, reigning president of the Usher Board, past treasurer of the Sunday School benevolence fund, and attended the Brotherhood meetings. He was an encourager and very outspoken about areas in the church he was passionate. Bobby was proceeded in death by his Parents: Robert and Roveilia Henry; Daughter: Cynthia Henry; Siblings: Jimmy Lee Henry, Lloyd Perkins, Floyd Henry, Bertha Jones, Joe Louise Henry and Novie Lee Henry; Grandchild: James Rodgers IV; Great-Grandchild: Aria Nicole Lopes. SURVIVORS: Children - Rev. Dorothy Pate, Becky Rodgers (James III), Danny Davis (Kim), Darren Henry (Mary) and Pamela Mayberry (Ronnie). GRANDCHILDREN: - Nicole Burkett (Terrence), John Pate, Jr. (Kimberly, Katrena Lopes (Damian), Tamera Davis, Adam Davis, Bryan Davis, Tiffany Henry, Darren Henry Jr., Ashley Henry, Jasma Hayes (Todd), Scottrice Boone. SIBLINGS: Robert Lee Henry, Jr., Calvin Henry, Mary Floyd, Wilma Hughes and Brenda Brown. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren extended family and friends.
