Deborah Raye Jackson passed away April 1, 2015 at her home. Memorial Service: 2pm Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller. My mother was born on July 25, 1951. She was a single mother of two children, Michael Ray and Sondee Denise Jackson. She worked two jobs in order to take care of her children. She was a waitress and a bartender at their family restaurant owned and operated by her father. Later, she worked as a credit collector with Montgomery Ward and then it changed to GE Capital. She also owned and operated Texas Burgers. She was a wonderful mother and friend. She was loved by many friends and all of her family. She loved her dog, Teddy Pom Pom. She enjoyed roller skating, dancing, and reading books of all kinds. She also enjoyed politics. She was a very brave and courageous woman. She fought a long hard battle with having a trach and being on a ventilator to loosing her battle with esophagus cancer shortly after having the trach removed. Preceded in death by her mother, Ruby King Salmon; her father, Raymond Earl Wilburn; and her brother, Richard Haden Salmon. Deborah is survived by her daughter, Sondee Denise Jackson; son, Michael Ray Jackson, three grandsons, Dustin Ray, Ryan Paul, and Dillon Wayne Jackson; one granddaughter, Kimberlyn Michelle Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Aidon Wyatt Allen and Brayson Dominique Jackson; and two sisters, Susie Henderson and Betty Jo Thomas. We walked hand in hand Time and time again On this journey we call life. You will have to borrow a Loved ones hand for a bit. I will be with you again one day.
