Dennis Michael Martin, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Funeral: 11:00 AM Saturday, February 24, 2018, in the Chapel of Williams and Lucas Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Interment: Smithfield Cemetery in North Richland Hills. Visitation: The family will recieve friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday evening. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mike’s name to the Fort Worth Zoo. Mike was born May 29, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Lloyd and Leatha Keith Martin. He proudly served 4 years in the United State Marine Corps and then 2 years in the United States Navy. After his military, he was a heat treater for Harbison - Fischer Manufacturing for over 25 years before retirement. In retirement, he cared for his wife of 35 years, Frankie Joan Harris, until her passing in 2005. Survivors: Daughter, Sharon Martin of Fort Worth; brothers, Lloyd Martin of Chattanooga, TN and Hank Martin of Fort Worth; sister, Patricia of Fort Worth; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
