Edna Mae Koch

BOWIE -- Edna Mae Koch, 76, passed away on January 24, 2014 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the VFW Hall, 707 E. Nelson St., Bowie, Texas 76230. Edna was born in Frame, West Virginia to Katherine and Clifton Shafer on August 21, 1937. She was a devoted wife of Orville Koch married on November 20, 1954 in Fayetteville, West Virginia. As a military wife, she stood by Orville's side for his 22 years of service to his country before starting her own career. She worked as a beautician for 15 years then a Quality Control Inspector for Boeing, Electronics Division for 11 years. Edna is preceded in death by Katherine and Clifton Shafer and Janet Kennimer (Shafer). Edna is survived by husband, Orville Koch; Children: Angela and Terry Scott, Duane and Karla Koch, Mia and Brian Kile. Siblings: Steve Shafer, Jack Shafer, Sheila Brown (Shafer), Jerry Shafer, Johnny Shafer, and Marilyn Jennings (Shafer). Grandchildren: Leigha Scott, Lee Scott, Caitlin Koch, Glen Bridgewaters III, Alex Koch, Erika Dower, Taylor Koch, Heather Thomas. Great Grandchildren: Allie Scott and Kamdyn Scott.
