J. Patrick Eaton

Dr. J. Patrick Eaton, 47, passed away on February 21, 2015. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Keller United Methodist Church, 1025 Johnson Road, Keller, TX 76248. Interment will follow at the Historic Grapevine Cemetery. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the National Stroke Association: 9707 E. Easter Lane Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112. Patrick was born April 26, 1967. His family resides in Southlake, Texas. In addition to being an incredible father and husband, Patrick was a general surgeon at several Dallas area hospitals. Patrick graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he also did his general surgery residency. He began his career at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas before moving to the DFW area and joining Surgical Associates of the Mid-Cities. He served as an officer on the medical staff at Harris Methodist HEB and Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. Patrick most enjoyed spending time with his family. His interests included weight lifting, skiing with his family in Breckenridge, Colorado, cycling and actively supporting his children in their pursuits. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Barbara Eaton. Survivors: Patrick is survived by his loving wife of nearly 16 years, Tracy Eaton; sons, Eric Eaton, age 13, and Andrew Eaton, age 11; his father, Jerry Eaton and his wife, Terri; sister Laurie Crays; parents-in-law, Lonnie and Candace Vice; sister-in-law, Sarah Vice; step-sisters, Abbey Browne, Audrey Megill and Mandy Staff; nephew, Carson Crays; and numerous friends and extended family.
