Jeane S Alexander

Jeane was born Dec. 30, 1923, to Alonzo and Birdie Snowden in Snyder. She married Charles Alexander, and they moved to Southlake in 1953. Jeane worked with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Fort Worth and then became a courtroom deputy for the U.S. district courts. Jeane traveled all over the United States handling federal cases. She retired from her position in 1986. Jeane volunteered for the Mission Service Corps for the Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Memorial Baptist Church of Grapevine. She was a member of the Southlake Arts Council and Southlake Senior Center. Jeane was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; sisters, Mariam Bledsoe and Mildred Seims; and a nephew-in-law, Joe Alexander, husband of Deanna. Survivors: Cousin, Keith and Tootsie Snowden of Wolfforth; nieces and nephews whom she thought of as her children, including Donna Wilmot of Bakersfield, Calif., Terry and Mary Plemons of North Richland Hills, Randy and Sara Plemons of Red Oak, Charles and Pam Alexander of Chino Valley, Ariz., John and Darlene Alexander of Greenville, Anna and Don Silva of Vista, Calif., and Deanna Alexander of Lubbock; and many grandnieces, grandnephews and second cousins.
