Karen Michelle Peterson

Karen Michelle Peterson, 42, passed away March 8, 2015. Memorial Service: 10am Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Alliance Community Fellowship, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Karen Peterson Memorial Fund through Alliance Community Fellowship, 2185 Golden Heights Rd Fort Worth TX 76177. Karen was born June 24, 1972 to Gary and Barbara Raper in Little Rock, Arkansas. Survivors: husband, Ron; three children, Megan, Joshua, and Katie; her parents; and her sister, Cheryl Basey. On Sunday, March 8th, Karen left this earthly realm and entered into her eternal home to be forever with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a celebration has taken place in the heavens! Karen understands that her earthly body was but a temporary place for her spirit to dwell. While those of us, whose lives she touched, wrestle with the loss of her earthly body and the hole that it leaves in our hearts, as children of the one true God, we have His assurance that she is with Him and there is no more sorrow, no more pain and no more tears for her. In our human frailty we must deal with what we can see and what we can no longer see. We love her and we miss her. We can’t understand God’s plan in all of this! We ask ourselves how God could take someone doing His kingdom work on Earth away so suddenly! God knows this and He understands. He wants you, as His children, to cry out to Him! As His child, YOU serve a God, who loves you so much that He allowed His spirit to enter into an earthly body. He walked this earth as Jesus Christ so that each and every person created by Him, may know how much He loves them and wants them to be with Him eternally. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for your salvation. He died on that cross for you. Karen understands that and she wants you to understand that too. God wants you to know Him personally. He is Father God. He is Jesus Christ. He is Holy Spirit, who lives inside of us when we simply ask Him to. Karen also understands that loving God means serving God. Karen became the hands and feet of Christ. Why? Because you have been touched by Karen. Her legacy isn't the material things she left on this earth that moths, rust, thieves and such will soon enough destroy. Her legacy is the impact that she had on those who knew her and what she did for them. She chose to love, she pointed to Christ and made a mark on YOU. I encourage you to continue that legacy! It is what God wants!
