FORT WORTH -- Randy Alan Parker entered the house of the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. He had recently celebrated his 64th birthday. Service: Noon Saturday in the chapel at Lucas Funeral Home - Grapevine. The Rev. Doug Riggs and Mr. James N. Lucas Jr. will officiate. Following the chapel service, he will be laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: Family and friends will gather from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of choice, in his memory, is suggested. Born in Fort Worth on Jan. 4, 1950, Randy was the son of Cloyce Anderson and Hazel Louise Harrell Parker. He was a graduate of Grapevine High School. Randy worked in the funeral industry for many years as an associate of several area funeral homes, including the Lucas Family of Funeral Homes and Robertson Mueller Harper Funeral Directors. He was an avid opera and musical lover who enjoyed traveling with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and longtime friend, Michael Kreig. He was a friend to everyone he encountered and will be missed greatly by family and friends alike. Survivors: In addition to his sister and her husband, Cindy and Jack Atkinson, Randy is survived by his brother and his wife, Larry and Sharon Parker; nieces and nephews, Courtney Jabri, Camille and Randy Minor, Jacob and Suzanne Gibson and Joel Gibson; and his faithful Schnauzer companion, Dolly.
