Ragina LaShonda Battles

Ragina LaShonda Battles, 46, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home May 1, 2015. The Homegoing Celebration will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington. Interment at 2:30 in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Public viewing is from 3pm to 6pm Tuesday in the chapel of Williams and Lucas Funeral Home. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will conduct The Ivy Beyond The Wall ceremony at 6:45 pm and followed by the wake from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Ragina earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University and a Masters of Arts degree from Dallas Baptist University. She was employed by The Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Ragina served in the United States Air Force where she retired from the reserves as a Master Sergeant. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In lieu of flowers, any donation may be made to the scholarship fund for her daughters Raven and Robyn. Cherishing her memory: Spouse, Wilburn J.
