Robert P Mitchell

Robert P. Mitchell, 74, passed away February 18, 2015. Visitation: 6-8p Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W Wall Street Grapevine 76051. MY DADDY ROBERT P. MITCHELL was a loving father and a good friend, wonderful brother and a Great- grandfather. We all are so sorry to see you go! But are glad that the pain you were in is no more. You put up an amazing fight. But you were fighting something that was much stronger than you were. We know you didn't want to go and you will truly be missed. Robert P. Mitchell moved to Grapevine where he lived with both of his parents, now deceased. Robert moved here from Lafitte Louisiana where his remains will be laid to rest. Robert leaves behind 2 children: a daughter Annie M. Eaves of Irving, TX. and son James L Mitchell of Lewisville TX. Along with 5 grandkids: Andre, Shundra, Philip, Naytashya, Danielle, and 5 Great Grandkids; Seven brothers and 3 sisters. Norman Mitchell (Julia) Fred Mitchell (Bobbi Jo) Charles Mitchell (Kathleen), Michael Mitchell (Chris) Katherine (Austin) Dennis, Josephine (Billy) Winfield, Marion (Wilson) Blueitt, Herbert (Brenda) Mitchell, Jimmy (Virginia) Mitchell, and Peter Mitchell. When I think of you, I can still see your smile. And if i could be with you again, I would travel a billion, million miles. When I heard the news, I broke down and cried. And every time I thought of you, tears welled up again in my eves. But, I smile, because of the memories, and the beauty of your smile. Your smile used to light up the world. So I know you are going to shine some light in heaven so I'll find you Annie Mae, and I'll see you when I get there. I love you and miss you already. But I thank God because, when I think of you, even though I cry sometimes, I always smile, In your memory. Love always. JOHN 14:1-3 Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In my fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there ye may be also. If you cry for me, please don't cry long, I'm in a better place. A place where so many more will come, and yet so many have already gone. So if you cry for me, please don't cry long. I'm in a better place and all my pain is gone. There is no sky, and there is no sun or moon. There is only love so there is no need for noon. I see a street whose path is straight, and it says one come all this way, if you want to reach heaven's gate. So I am home. And if you cry for me, please don't cry long. I'm in a Better place and now heaven is my home. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Robert P Mitchell please visit our Sympathy Store.
