Mr. Sears Luther Barnett Sr.

Sears Luther Barnett Sr., of Fort Worth, 81, passed away on June 7, 2018. Formally of Mobile, Alabama, he was born on April, 1937 to Mossie Barnett Sr., and Ida Mae Duboise in Mt. Sterling, Alabama. Sears, "Slick" as he was affectionately called by everyone, had an insatiable love of playing pool. He graduated from high school and soon after joined the United States Air Force where he begain basic training at Lackland AFB. Texas. Sears was joined in holy matrimony to Betty Jackson of Centralia, Illinois; of that union two children wee born. He was honorably discharged from Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. He served in the Air Force reserves until 1963 and was a proud Veteran and automobile mechanic. He moved to Milwaukee where he became part of the champion billiards team that traveled throughout the northern states. Sears was a great motivator for many and he was a quiet loving person. He lived a full life of greatness with divine purpose. He loved his children and grandchildren with everything he had. Hr livrfgot hid family, his children called him 'blessed'. He was called to rest the morning of May 29, at 12:15 a.m. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Claude, Mossie Jr. and Gary. Also, by his son: Sears L. Barnett Jr. (Betty). He leaves to cherish his memory: DAUGHTERS: Serena Barnett, Sharon Schroeder, Sabrena Barnett. SONS: Henry Barnett, Sears L. Barnett Jr. (Louise). SISTERS: Ola Mae Cottrell and Carlena Weatnherall. BROTHERS: Jerry Barnett, and Marion Barnett. GRANDCHILDREN: Nikita, Ekua Adisa (Jessica), Sean, Johnnie, Demetrius, Aryanna, Tyesha, Searra, Nandi, Christian, Toure, Davon, Ayesha, and Dylan. SPECIAL FRIENDS: Ron Carl of Mobile, Alabama, Dale Utsey, Dewitt Burkes, and Charlotte of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and David Foster of Irving, Texas.
