Thomas Ronald “Teejay” Jordan, 76, peacefully passed June 14, 2020. Thomas blessed the union of Fannie Jordan and Junius Pringle on December 14, 1943 in Washington D.C. Following his high school graduation in June, 1961, Thomas enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served as a contracting supervisor, a tactical aircraft Maintenance Technician and as a Fire Protection Specialist in the height of the Vietnam War. Thomas bravely fought and was awarded numerous medals and badges. Among those decorations he received was an expert marksmanship ribbon. For his meritorious service and combat action in many Vietnam War battles, he was awarded the W/r and W/1 bronze devices; a W/1 silver cluster; and the Republic of Vietnam service and campaign medals. In June, 1991, Thomas retired as a Technical Sergeant from The Air Force at the Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth. He was employed as a Contract Manager for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit and retired as a Contract Specialist for the City of Fort Worth. In 1979, Thomas united with Cloyde Dean Carter in holy matrimony. They were blessed with three children: Ryan, Crystal and Chris. Outgoing and bilingual, Thomas loved to engage with others about travel, vintage music and cars. A skilled cook, his unique cakes were favorite treats for many. The beautiful memory of Thomas is cherished in the hearts of his family. Beloved Wife: Cloyde Dean; Children: Ronald, Ryan (J'Lisa), Chris, Crystal (Nicholas), Tonya (Marc) and Yori. 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren, his Siblings: Robert, Nina, Mary and Ruth, extended relatives and a host of friends. In accordance with distancing protocols, there will be a public viewing from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2020 in the chapel of Williams and Lucas Funeral Home. At 11:15AM on Friday, July 3, 2020, under the auspices of the Dyess Air Force Base Honor Guard, Thomas will be interred with full military commitment in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
