Bill Workman

Bill Workman, 74, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away at 12:51 AM on Friday, December 11, 2009 in his home. Bill was born in Blum, Texas on June 18, 1935, the son of Nathan Hyder Workman and Ila Mae Young Workman. He married Betty Austin in Fort Worth, Texas on April 6, 1956. Bill had retired from Bell Helicopter after 33 years of service. Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Betty Workman; children, Steve Workman and wife, Darlene, Chris Workman, Darrell Workman and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Jennifer, Randy, Nathan, Emily and Joey; brother, Dale Workman; sister, Leola Nicholas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Ila Workman, three brothers, Treat, Norris and Ralph Workman and one sister, Shirley Carothers. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hearts & Hands or Senior Housing at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, Arlington.
