EULESS -- Billie Jane Flanagan, 79, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 17, 2014. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Euless. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Group at First Baptist Church of Euless. A native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Billie Jane was born May 11, 1935 the daughter of Burton and Naomi Turnage Clark. She graduated from Jackson Central High School and earned a voice performance scholarship. She married Norman Flanagan in 1954 and to that union four children were born. She lived in Euless for 47 years, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Euless and its choir. Her passions were singing, gardening, travel, cooking, and raising her grandchildren. Billie Jane was preceded in death by her husband; son, Paul Flanagan; grand-daughter, Kaitlyn Jane Flanagan; and brother, Thomas E. Clark. Her family gives a special thanks to her caregiver, Corrine Anderson. Survivors: children, John Flanagan, David Flanagan, Kris Evans; 13 grandchildren, Skye, McKenna, Madison, Grayson, Cindy, Hannah, Liam, Michelle, Taylor, Norman, John Paul, Shannon, Hunter; 8 great-grandchildren, Kaden, Emma, Owen, Brody, Savanna, Brooklynn, Tristan, Brinkley.
