Rev. Billy Martin Mauldin, 86, passed away March 19, 2015 at his home. Service: 10am Monday, March 23rd at First Baptist Church of Lakeside with burial to follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 2-4pm Sunday, March 22 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Rev. Mauldin was a native of Whitesboro, Texas and was married to his wife, Jeane, in 1947. He served the Lord faithfully in Antigo, Wisconsin as pastor of Bible Baptist Church for five years before being called to First Baptist Church of Richland Hills in 1966. He loved and pastored the people of First Baptist for 36 years until his retirement in January of 2002. He was the shepherd of his flock, mentor to men of God, and a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather in his home. Survivors: Children, Michael Glenn Mauldin, Sr. and his wife, Bonnie, Patricia Lynn Marcum and her husband, Kirk, Mary Ann Long and her husband, Fred; Grandchildren, Michael Glenn Mauldin, Jr. and his wife, Brandy, Nicole Wallace and her husband, Lyle, Stefanie Pearle and her husband, Andrew, Crystal Mauldin, Leslie Wells and her husband, Trevor, and Laura Long; Seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Allen.
