Fort Worth, Texas – Bobby Hubert Overstreet, 85, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, June 30, 2023.  A native Texan, he was born an only child to Fred and Fern Overstreet on November 27, 1937, in Bowie, Texas. Bobby joined the Navy right out of high school and served his country for four years. After his military service, he met Lynda Baker, the love of his life. The two were wed on August 21, 1964, and resided in Fort Worth, Texas. They had two children, a daughter, Lee Ann and a son, Gary. Bobby was a devoted husband and father and spent most of his career driving an 18-wheeler both locally and over the road. He retired from Texas Refinery Corporation in 2002. He remained active in his church and enjoyed spending time with his family. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Fern Overstreet, his beautiful wife, Lynda, and his grandson, Justin Underhill. He is survived by his daughter, Lee Ann Dempsey, his son, Gary Overstreet, his grandchildren, Chase Underhill and Tina Le, Jordyn and Dylan Huggins, Jordan Dempsey, and his seven great grandchildren.
