Burton Glenn Howard, 81, Born in Fort Worth Texas on August 9, 1944, passed from this earth April 25, 2026. , Burton lived a life defined by honor, devotion to his family, and a steady, kind spirit. A proud Marine, Burton honorably served his country from 1961 to 1965, carrying the values of the Corps throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, he was at his happiest on his farm. He was a passionate hunter who found great peace and joy in the quiet hours spent in the woods he called home. On July 23, 1966, he married the love of his life, Barbara Howard. Together, they built a beautiful legacy over nearly 60 years of marriage, rooted in partnership and deep affection. Burton was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Howard; his mother, Irene Howard; his sister, Cecile; his brother, Sunny, and many cousins and countless friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his daughter, Kimberly Nix and her husband Nicky, his son Kevin Howard and his wife Bethany, his bonus son Terry Portales and his wife Amanda. He was a proud grandfather to Whitney Guy (Justin), Jimmy Clark (Mayra), Gavin Carter, Wyatt Howard (Kileigh Hughes), Joshua Howard, Noah Howard, and Katharyn Howard. His joy was further multiplied by his great-grandchildren, Corbyn, Kimber, and Gunner Guy, and Julianna Clark. He was a cornerstone of his family, and his presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Till we meet again jar head, Simper Fi.

Services will be held at Williams & Lucas funeral home; 517 North Sylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX. 76111. Viewing will be Friday may 8th from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral will be Saturday May 9th at 10:00 am at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Wood Cemetery, 701 Grand Ave, Fort Wort, TX 76164.
