Carl Edward Atkins

Carl Edward Atkins, 71, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gateway Church, North Fort Worth Campus, 4209 Basswood Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76137 with Pastors Gene Carter and Steve Thompson officiating. Carl was born on March 1, 1943 in Rome, Georgia to Clarence and Margaret Atkins. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Carl spent over 30 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons before retiring. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose favorite activity was spoiling his grandkids.
