Mr. Bruce was born July 31, 1941 in Plainview to Charles M. and Mary Moody Bruce. He attended Plainview High School, graduating in 1959. Charles married the love of his life, Sandra King on September 4, 1964 in Plainview. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in finance. While attending Tech, he began his career working for Santa Fe Railroad. The family then moved to Long Beach, CA. where he was regional claims manager until moving to Keller, Tx to work as a claims computer consultant until his retirement in 2003. Charles was a ham radio operator, he loved traveling, Blue Grass music, and he was the family photographer and computer genius. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra, daughter Shelley Ramos and husband Rick of Coppell, TX, son Matt and wife Lydia of Chino Hills, CA, and by his granddaughters who were the delight of his life: Alexandra, Abigail, Alyssa, Alexis and Cori. Charles is also survived by 3 sisters, Cora Kubacka and husband John of Irving, TX., Nina Velliquette of Austin, TX., Nicki Logan of Plainview, TX., one brother, Ken Bruce of Garland, a sister-in-law Tommie Quebe and husband Glen of Plainview and many precious nieces and nephews.
