EULESS -- Charles Latham Parrott, 77, a loving and dedicated husband of 52 years, the best dad and granddad in the world, and a brother, passed away peacefully Friday, June 23, 2006, in Bedford. ??? Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. ??? Pallbearers: Bill Ayars, David Ayars, Zachary Parrott, Jake Murdock, Matthew Jones and Jim Moore. ??? Memorials: American Heart Association, 2630 W. Freeway, Suite 250, Fort Worth 76102. ??? Charlie was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Fort Worth. He took wings from AT&T in 1984 after 36 years of service. He married Peggy in 1953 and began his family in 1956. Charlie had two loving daughters and a loving son. The family grew with seven beautiful grandchildren. He loved more than anything being surrounded by his family, whether it was going to games, attending grandparents day or just being wherever he was needed. He never passed up a chance to go help a family member. He looked forward to every holiday because he knew all of his family would be there. Charlie attended a special church and loved the Lord. ??? Charlie was preceded in death by parents, Garnett Parrott and Christine Grunwald Parrott. ??? Survivors: Wife, Peggy Parrott; son, Scott Parrott and wife, Pam; daughters, Debbi Wilson and husband, Larry, Melissa Jones and husband, Greg; brothers, George Parrott of North Richland Hills, Ernie Parrott of Colorado; grandchildren, Brent, Jake and Whitnye Murdock, Zach and Ashley Parrott, Matthew and Brooke Jones; and many nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren.
