Charles E. "Dub" Roeder

COLLEYVILLE -- Charles E. "Dub" Roeder, 88, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Lucas-Grapevine Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine. Entombment: Bluebonnet Hills Mausoleum. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials are requested to a favorite charity. A native of Southmayd, Dub was born Nov. 10, 1926, to Charles J. and Thelma Stracener Roeder. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW. He retired from Cooper Transportation. Dub was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Jo McCuiston, Ava Nell Scott, Charlene Boydstun. Survivors: Wife, Mae Roeder; children, Joe Lynn Roeder and wife, Deborah, Sue Campbell and husband, Joe, Sandra Moon and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Page Wimmer, Chris Campbell, Jennifer Brown, Les Moon, Jeremy Moon, Russell Moon; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Brayden and Branden Campbell, Jenna and Abby Wimmer, Cameron Brown, Caleb and Kyle Moon; stepgrandchildren, Melinda Kelsey, Donna Lee; stepgreat-grandchildren, James and Becky Kelsey, Lindsey Cox; sisters, Ima Dell Barthold and Linda Martindale; and several nieces and nephews.
