Dave Patrick Post II

Accepting his earthly assignment on February 25, 2000 in San Diego, CA, Dave was born to parents Coretta
and Dave Post I.

Dave enjoyed many passions throughout his life, like spending time with family and friends, eating great food
and being around great company; but, none of his passions compared to serving the Lord as a musician,
drummer, and his love of football. Dave shared his passion for music and football at an early age of 3. Dave
accepted Christ and was baptized at Finding Your Way Back Ministry in 2008. Dave was committed to his
calling, receiving many trophies, certificates, and awards for his dedication to his gifts.
Throughout Dave’s high school years, he continued in music, joining the Boswell High School Performing
and Jazz Bands. Dave graduated Boswell High School in 2018, receiving Music and Academic scholarships.
In the Fall of 2018, Dave began his college career, attending the University of North Texas (Denton).
Dave later moved to San Diego, CA to be closer to his father and share time with other family members.
While in San Diego, the passion of football was rekindled in Dave, and he dedicated his love and gift of
football to the San Diego Silverbacks, a semi-professional team in November 2020, as a Slot/Wide Receiver.
As a natural born leader, on and off the field, Dave lived his life to the beat of a different drum, the one he
heard within.

On April 7, 2022, Dave answered the Master’s call home, fulfilling his earthly assignment.

-KyLoni Shannon), Brothers: Isaiah Jackson-Post (Audrey), Davion Jackson-Post, Charles Miller Jr., Kimani
Campbell (Kevenia), Step Siblings: John Polk and Eva Polk, Grandparents: Ethel Loretta Farrell and Stephen
Carey (Toye), Uncles/Aunts: CaMario Mumphard, Erika Townsend (Curtis), Lisa Loving (DeAndre), Mia
Reese and a host of Post Aunts and Uncles, Godparents: Sharise Davis and Franklin Springer, Jr., God Sisters/
