David Kenton Bulla, 67, of Fort Worth, TX died in his sleep early Sunday morning, November 30, 2014 from complications of Heart and Kidney failure. Funeral: 3:00 pm, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial: 2:00 pm, Friday at Tyler Memorial Cemetery, Tyler, Texas David was born on December 13, 1946 in Bay City, Texas to Dorothy Lafoon Bulla and Horace Earl Bulla. He spent his childhood in West, Texas enjoying the years living on a ranch as a young child where he and his brother Brian, 14 months younger, lived a young boy’s dream spending their days with the cowboys. David attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, receiving Bachelor’s Degrees in Math, Physics and Engineering. As a structural engineer he worked as part of the team that designed the runways at DFW International Airport. He was the sole proprietor of Bulla Engineering for 30 years, working out of Fort Worth and Tyler, Texas where his parents lived after their retirement. David was an antique car enthusiast, and a lover of vinyl records, Cocker Spaniel dogs, horses and all things western. He had a quick-dry wit and loved being out among people. David was a loyal friend, generous and patient with just a touch of stubbornness. He attended North Richland Hills Baptist Church David is survived by his girlfriend Sherree Gable of Bedford, Texas; his younger brother Brian Earl Bulla of Round Rock, Texas, Brian’s wife Nan and their two sons. He is also survived by his Cocker Spaniel dog, Polly. He is pre-deceased by his parents and cousin Gary Bulla of Eastland, Texas To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of David K.
