Dixie Mae Bell

FORT WORTH -- Dixie Mae Bell, 94, passed Monday, July 11, 2016. Funeral: Homegoing service at 11 a.m., Monday, July 18, at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m., Saturday, July 16. Dixie was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Anna Thomas. After service in Women's Army Core (WAC), Dixie began teaching in Fort Worth ISD and retired after over 30 years of service. She was predeceased by son John Q. Bell; husband, James Bell Jr.; sisters, Dorothy, Ola, Madge, Anna and Carol; brothers, Alonzo, Howard and Troy; and special brother-in-law, John O. Belle. Survivors: Son, Loran James Bell (Lisa); Daughter-in-law, Phyllis Bell; and sisters-in-law, LaJoie Thomas, Juanita Casey and Joe Hellen Belle.
