FORT WORTH -- Doris Culver, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Lucas Memorial Chapel, 517 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth 76111. INTERMENT;: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Doris was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was born in Fort Worth, Jan. 19, 1927, to Elmer and Mary Ella Hunt. Doris was a "wartime bride," married in secret to Lawrence Culver during his pilot training with the Navy. She was an accomplished seamstress and made her daughters' dresses when they were young. She was the president of the PTA and was involved in all school activities and functions. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Doris was a longtime, active member of Riverside Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: Doris is survived by her sons, Wes Culver and wife, Juli, of Seadrift and Dr. Bill Culver and wife Judy, of New Braunfels; daughters, Mary Ann Biebighauser and husband, Mark, of Keller, Linda Mayer and husband, Alan, of Keller; brother, Jim Hunt of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
