Dorothy Clift Dorothy Clift GRAPEVINE -- Dorothy Clift passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, holding her son's hand. She was a strong and courageous woman. Memorial service: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall Drive, Grapevine. Visitation: 6 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral hone. Dorothy was the last living sibling of 11 children of Austin and Pearl Welch of Franklin, N.C. She moved to Michigan right out of high school, where she met and married Ray Clift. They had five children. No one loved their children more than she. She worked so hard to provide them with a nice home and opportunity for good education. Dorothy worked at Ford Motor Co. for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Margaret and Kathy. Survivors: Sons, Keith Clift and Kevin Clift; daughter, Susan Clift Brown; and seven grandchildren.
