Dorothy Thomason

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home. Additional visitation at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. ??? Dorothy graduated from Riverside High School, then attended business college. She was hired by the Fort Worth Police Department and served as administrative assistant to several chiefs of police, retiring after a career spanning over 30 years. She joined the Eastern Star in 1953, Riverside Chapter 834, and served as worthy matron in 1966-1967. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Weatherford. ??? She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Annie Bell; husband, Travis R. Thomason; stepsons, Robert and Don Thomason; brothers, Allen, Roy and Ralph Bell; and sister, Era Bell, all of Fort Worth. ??? Survivors: Stepson, Richard Thomason and wife, Arleta, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; nephews, Ronald Bell and Terry Bell of Keller; niece, Karen Boeckman of Keller; daughters-in-law, Peggy Thomason Dunn and Mary Thomason of Oklahoma; and a host of friends and family members.
