Dwight Anthony Cavitt was born in Fort Worth to the late Warren G. Cavitt and Fannie Mae Cavitt Newbill on August 28, 1952.
Dwight was a student of the Fort Worth Independent School District and graduated from Dunbar High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam until he was honorably discharged in 1972.
Dwight an accomplished Musician, played for several churches in Fort Worth, including his home Church Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church. It was at Saint James where he played the piano and organ for Sunday School and for the Junior and Senior Choirs.
He moved to Los Angeles shortly after his discharge from the Army. He remained a resident in California until his demise on Monday March 14, 2022.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving Mother, Mrs. Fannie Mae Newbill, his Brother Darryal, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
