Elroy Goynes

HURST -- Elroy "Roy" Goynes, 81, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at a local care center. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road. Burial: Following a committal service Roy will be laid to rest next to his wife Marlene in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery. Visitation: One hour before the funeral service at the funeral home. Elroy Brayton Goynes was born May 10, 1926. He grew up near Chicago, Ill., and was an avid Chicago Bears football fan. Roy was a caring and giving person, giving and volunteering for many charitable organizations. He enjoyed being a part of the VFW and American Legion organizations.
