Esther Ruth Faught

Esther Ruth Faught 1918 – 2014 Esther Ruth Faught, 95, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 14, 2014 at her home in Argyle, TX. Ruth was born September 18, 1918 on a farm north of Decatur, TX to Willis E. and Mary Emma (Dooley) Lyles. She married Frank Faught on May 17, 1938 and together they lived on the family farm until his death in 1992. Ruth worked at the Justin State Bank as a bookkeeper until the birth of her son Charles, and went on to raise three more children and helped her blind husband make their living on the family farm. She was a faithful member of the Justin Church of Christ. She loved quilting and covering hangers for her friends during her last days. Ruth is survived by son Charles Faught and wife Theresa of Argyle; daughter Brenda Jones and husband Derry of Decatur; daughter Susan Stewart of Rhome; grandsons Shannon Jones and wife Stacy of Rhome; Lyle Jones and wife Brandy of Keller; Miles Faught and wife Christina of Aurora; Alex Faught of Argyle; granddaughter Mitzi Miller and husband Ernest of Justin; great grandsons Grayson and Macomb Faught; Reilly, Lucas, and Brayden Jones; Clayton Miller; beloved sister Daisy Woodward of North Richland Hills; sister-in-law Evelyn Faught of Justin; many nieces and nephews; as well as her Metroport Meals on Wheels family and many friends. She also leaves her dear caregiver Micheline Pennington of Justin. She was preceded in death by husband Frank of 54 years and son Larry Faught. Visitation will be April 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Alliance Church of Christ in Argyle with funeral services following visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle, TX. Following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials/donations be made to Metroport Meals on Wheels, Christ Haven’s Home for Children in Keller, or a charity of their choice.
