It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Everette Williams Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. George departed this world on February 9, 2024, in Grand Prairie, Texas, surrounded by love.
George moved from the small town of Bells to the big city of Fort Worth as a young boy. He was a graduate of I.M. Terrell Highschool, where he made many life-long friends. As a young man, George proudly served the country as a member of the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, George returned to Fort Worth, Texas, where he raised his family. Throughout his 77 years, he forged deep connections with family, friends, and community members, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
George is survived by his wife, Joanne Williams of Ft. Worth, Texas; his brother, Ernest Williams, of Sherman, Texas; and his sister, Marsha Manuel, of Corinth, Texas, who all shared in his joys and sorrows throughout the years.
George was a loving father to his children who brought him immeasurable joy and pride: his son, George Williams Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada; his daughter, LaTrina-Michelle Gray, of Grand Prairie, Texas; his daughter, Kimberly Williams, of Grand Prairie, Texas; and his daughter, Veronica Valenti, of Frisco, Texas. His love for them knew no bounds, and his presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

He touched the lives of many with his kindness and his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. His memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In celebration of George's life and honor of his service, his military internment will be held at 3:00 PM, on February 29, 2024, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Friends of I.M. Terrell Foundation, in honor of George's passion for helping others.
