Henry Blakeley

ROANOKE -- Henry Jay Blakeley, 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2009.        Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller.        Interment: Private family service in Medlin Cemetery in Trophy Club.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Va. 22312 or Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund at 877-800-2951.        Henry was a lifelong resident of the Keller and Roanoke area. He was enjoyed being with the Volunteer Fire Department of Roanoke and he loved gardening and animals. Henry was also a proud member of the Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 669.        He was a son, brother, husband, father and friend.        Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Joseph and Flora Belle Blakeley.        Survivors: Wife, Donna Blakeley; son, David Blakeley; daughter, Jennifer Gilliland and husband, Chris; grandson, Taylor Jay Gilliland; brother, James "Finnie" Blakeley of Granbury; sister, JoAnn Ham and husband, Ross, of Houston; sister, Sharon Bauman of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
