EULESS -- Hugh Allen Marlowe, 73, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2007. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Sheppard Drive Baptist Church, 219 N. Sheppard Drive, Euless. Interment: Parker Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Hugh Allen Marlowe, the son of Hubert and Zelma Currington Marlowe, was born Feb. 4, 1934, in Navarro Mills. He was a deacon at Sheppard Drive Baptist Church for 38 years. He was known as the "Candyman" in the day care center of the church. Hugh served in the U.S. Army in 1955-1957. He worked for Merchants Freight Lines for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Melodee. Survivors: Wife, Gail; daughter, Tiffany Marlowe; sister, Bobbie Nell Brooks and her husband, Alvin; sister-in-law, Adrian Robinson and her husband, Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
