James Shytles

KENNEDALE -- Jim Shytles, the senior member of the Shytles family, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Jim was born Sept. 19, 1916. He married Maxine Cox on Dec. 5, 1939. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha O'Neal. Survivors: Wife of 68 years, Maxine Shytles; daughter, D'Ann Girard; grandchildren, Leann O'Neal and Cody Wilson; and nephew, Tom Carlisle.
