Jim "LW" Stroud

Jim "LW" Stroud, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. During his career, he received patents on more than 20 inventions and was owner of Resco and Lestek Manufacturing. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Cecil Stroud and Leona Still Stroud; and his son, Glen Stroud. Survivors: His wife, Sue Stroud; daughter, Janet Waldrip and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Jason Schneider and wife, Kharri, Mike Schneider, Ashely, Haley, Whitney and Blake Stroud; seven great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
