Jimmy Wallace passed away August 22, 2014. Funeral Service: 10 am Friday, August 29, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Grapevine. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment will be at Buckner Cemetery in Parker County, Texas at 2 pm Friday afternoon. Jimmy Wallace was born in Commerce, Texas. He later moved to Irving where he graduated high school and met the love of his life. He and Joyce started their family in Irving and then moved to Euless in 1972, where he resided for 42 years. Jimmy had a soft, compasionate, and giving heart. He was kind to everyone and "never met a stranger" which stemmed from his career as a Barber for 54 years. He owned his own Barber Shop in Lewisville, TX, for 25 of those years. As a young man, his hobbies including horses, roller skating, and bowling. Later in life he enjoyed square dancing, barbecuing, John Wayne movies, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Recently he really enjoyed visiting with the Senior Citizens of his church. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Wallace; daughter, Connie McGee and husband Jeff; sons, Curtis Wallace and wife Julaina, and Clint Wallace and wife Stacy; grandchildren, Nathan Churchwell, Jackson Wallace, Connor McGee, Harrison Wallace, Cameron McGee, Carter Wallace, Carson Wallace, and Caroline Wallace; great-grandson, Everett Churchwell; and many other extended family and friends.
