The Rev. Joe Allen Bradley, 97, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at his home surrounded by family. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller. Burial: IOOF Cemetery in Westlake. Visitation: prior to service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Joe Bradley Endowment Fund of the Westlake Academy Foundation, 2600 Ottinger Rd., Westlake, Texas 76262. The Rev. Joe Bradley was ordained by the Assemblies of God at age 19 and began his ministry as pastor of the Crowell church. Subsequently he founded Assembly of God Churches in Fort Stockton, Robert Lee, Taylor, and Odessa. He also pastored churches in Stamford, Dimmitt, and Daingerfield. The Rev. Bradley provided for his family by working in the retail clothing business at Winkler's in Fort Stockton and Odessa, before owning and operating JAB's in Odessa and Bradley-Cox, Ltd. in Midland. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vivian, who passed away February 2007. He was also preceded in death by his son James Bradley and grandson Joey Bradley. Survivors: Sons, Scott and wife, Kelly Bradley, of Westlake, Fred and wife, Christi Bradley, of Westlake, Ronnie and wife, Dona, of Midland, Dallas and wife, Debbie Bradley, of Midland; daughter, Melba and husband, Jerry Venable, of Van Alstyne; grandchildren, Mark Venable, Heidi and husband, Michael Munoz, Paige Bradley, Brooke and husband, Dack Nicholson, Stacy and wife, Peggy Bradley, Alissa and husband, Jeff Tupa, D.J. Bradley; great-grandchildren, Brex and wife, Kasey, Corey and Ryan Bradley, Matthew and Anthony Munoz, Bradley and Kendall Moffett, Riley and Reece Nicholson, and Destrey and Jensen Tupa; great-great-granddaughter, London Bradley; and numerous friends of all ages.
