YELM, WASH. -- Sgt. John "Brian" Culp passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, in DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine. Brian grew up in Texas and Louisiana. He graduated from Joshua High School in 1996. Brian's lifetime love and knowledge of computers evolved into a defining piece of his personality and self esteem, eventually leading to his civilian and military career path. In 2006 Brian entered the U.S. Army and dedicated seven years to national service. He loved his country and even more, his family. Brian married Elizabeth Means in March 1999 and they have two amazing young sons, Ian and Westley. Brian also loved riding horses and his motorcycle and enjoyed many adventures with friends and family doing both. Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth Means Culp; sons, Ian and Westley Culp; parents, Larry Culp and Bonita Hines; sister, Lorri Lewis; and many other loving family and friends.
