ARLINGTON -- John Edward Davis Jr., most often called “JD”, age 55, went home to be with his heavenly father on September 9, 2014. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX 76053. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 13, at 11:30 a.m. at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, TX 75211. JD was born in New York City, on January 29, 1959. He was a graduate of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. JD served honorably, in the United States Air Force for tours of duty, in Japan and at the Pentagon. JD worked in the travel and transportation industry, for American Airlines, Sabre, EDS and HP, cumulatively for over 28 years. JD was a long time resident of Arlington Texas. JD was loved and respected by his neighbors, church members and especially his co-workers. JD was known for being a dependable, honest, hard worker with a shy smile. He was generous, humble and always willing to help others. JD will be truly missed by a host of friends and his surrogate family. JD was preceded in death by his loving mother Vera Anduze and father John Edward Davis, Sr. He has a brother and sister believed to reside in New York, and London, England, respectively.
