John Peter Morian, Sr., 88, went to his eternal rest on October 31, 2014 in Costa Rica. He was born in the St. Louis area on April 4, 1926. John graduated from Cleveland High School in St. Louis and later from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He served two tours of duty as an officer in the U.S. Army during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Jefferson Barracks V.A. Medical Center and moved to Glendale, Arizona in 1999. John spent his last year of life with family in Costa Rica. He was preceded in death by his Romanian immigrant parents, John Morian and Ana Morian; and his brother, William Morian. John is survived by his wife of 63 years, Henrietta (Raub) Morian of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; sons, John P. Morian, Jr. (Mary) of Glendale, Arizona, Dan Morian (Maryann) of Costa Rica, and Robert Morian of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Josh, Nick, Justin, Jennifer, Pete, Matt, Melissa, Karen, Rebecca, Jasmine and Ali; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Adam, Oliver, Abraham, Amayah, Margot, Max, Harold and Asher; and sister, Dolores Holtz of St Louis, Missouri. Private memorial services will be held in Colleyville, Texas and in Phoenix, Arizona at a future date. Final internment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
