Jorge Eugenio Vazquez

SAVANNAH -- Jorge Eugenio Vazquez passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014. Burial: At a later date in Florida National Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Jorge was born March 22, 1950, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, to Jorge and Ilia Mojica Vazquez. Jorge was an American Airlines employee for 24 years and a crew chief for 10 of those 24 years. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a member of the National Guard Reserve. Jorge was also a teacher at Cupeyville Private School. He enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach, and he was a great handyman. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Vickie; daughters, Damari, Angelique, Mariangie and Melissa; granddaughters, Madisen and Morgan; brother, Gilberto; sister, Sandra; nieces, Iliamari, Sandra and Iliadys; and special relatives, Edna, Zayda, Gilberto, Regine, Lourdes, Walter, Joe, Jeff, Steve, Bill, Kevin and Zahmari.
