Katherine E. Hudgins HURST -- Katherine E. Hudgins, 84, earned her angel wings Friday, Jan. 23, 2015. Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Hurst. Interment: 2 p.m. Friday in Files Valley Cemetery, Itasca. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Katherine was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend with a giving heart. In 2006, for the second time, she was selected Woman of the Year by the ABWA. She was active in St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors: Son, Charles Sowell and wife, Celinda; daughter, Karen Sowell Dickson; grandchildren, Heather Dickson and Faith Sowell; great-grandchildren, Christian Dickson and Kyler Miller; sister, Louise Courtney and many other loving family and friends.
