Kenneth D. Van Holsbeke

SOUTHLAKE -- Kenneth D Van Holsbeke passed away October 13, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Kenneth was born on December 9, 1934 in Dallas, Texas. He was drafted at the end of the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. He met his wife Claudia in Kansas where he worked for Western Electric until he transferred with the company to Texas. He was continuously educating himself to stay current with his job responsibilities and excelled as a senior installer. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was always good with his hands which led him to radio controlled aircraft and woodworking. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, and his brother Vernon Day. He is survived by his son, Clayton Van Holsbeke and wife Patricia; brother, Alton Day; sisters, Kathy King and Arlene Farrell; and many other extended family and friends.
