Larry was an ordained minister in good standing with the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International. He and his wife, Orlano Randall headed the ministry of Joshua Experience, God’s Big Band (www.JoshuaExperience.com) Larry was born August 30, 1937 to parents Dale and Elizabeth Pigg. Larry’s mom and dad were musicians and teachers. Larry related stories about his growing years that were full of fond memories of his mother’s beautiful flower gardens, music, friends and his summers spent at Camp Cheley in Estes Park, Colorado. Larry never lost his love for the Colorado mountains. Larry attended North Texas State University for Music in Denton, Texas. Larry was a world class musician and has played music with legends like Tony Bennett, Al Hurt, Judy Garland, Pete Fountain, Bob Hope, and many more. He was a lifetime member of the Big Beats for 58 years. The Big Beats played music from the 50's 60's and 70's with fellow musicians, CW Kendall, Earl Slocumb, Bobby Rambo, and Billy Mitchell. Fifteen years ago, on a cruise ship in the Indian Ocean, God clearly spoke to Larry’s heart, inspiring him to use his musical gifts for a higher purpose. From this new vision “The Joshua Experience” was born, creating a new sound of worship exalting the Lord Jesus Christ. From the quiet sounds of the clarinet to the blast of the trumpets, this collection of professional big band musicians and singers from a variety of backgrounds and denominations send their message of faith, hope and love to all. Their mission is to take the message of Christ’s salvation with this unique format throughout the world. Larry’s heart was to lead people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Larry met Orlano at a Bible study in a home in Euless, Texas. Larry did not intend to ever marry again, but felt led of the Lord to pursue Orlano and their marriage was truly a marriage made in heaven. He and Orlano had two wedding dates because they were so ready to marry! Their formal wedding was February 14, 2007 and their private wedding was January 25, 2007. He loved Orlano deeply as he did so very many people. Finally, Larry took the Big Band on a mission trip to London in 2012 and has plans for the band to go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2015. His dream was to be a part of winning souls to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He and Orlano led weekly home church services for the past 4 ½ years. Larry’s Bible studies are being posted on the Joshua Experience website for you to download. Larry Randall lived large and loved his life, especially the last 15 years as his walk with the Lord became his focus.
