JOSHUA -- Marian C. Forshage O'Neal, widow of retired U.S. Air Force Col. Ray O'Neal, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Service: Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 100 S.W. Alsbury Blvd., Burleson, with Father Mel Bessellieu officiating. Interment: 2 p.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: Friends will be received 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 S.W. Johnson Ave., Burleson. Memorials: Friends who wish may make donations to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Marian. Marian was born in Seguin. She attended Seguin High School and upon graduation attended Texas Lutheran College in Seguin for two years. She received her bachelor of arts in education from Texas Tech University. In 1952 she married 1st Lt. Ray O'Neal and served beside him as a loving and supportive spouse while raising five children. Over the next 22 years, Air Force life had Marian and her family making seven household moves in the United States and overseas. After Ray left the Air Force in 1974, they eventually settled in Joshua while continuing to raise the family. They enjoyed their many retirement years in Joshua. Survivors: Her loving children, Michael O'Neal (Doreen), Challie Samaris (Stephen), Timothy O'Neal (Jennifer), Sean O'Neal (Beth) and Ray C. O'Neal II (Audrey); 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Edwin (Alta); and sister, Carol McClusky (Bill).
