Marion Frank Meador

HURST - Marion Frank Meador, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 22, 2014. VISTATION: Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00pm Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053 SERVICE & BURIAL: Friday, 10:00am Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender Dr, Hurst, TX 76053; Burial at 12:30pm, DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX Frank was a 1954 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Valedictorian of his class. He later attended MIT and earned Masters Degrees in both Civil and Nuclear Engineering. He had many assignments during his 20 year career which included serving in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. After retirement he felt called into the ministry and moved to Fort Worth in 1976 to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned his PhD. He pastured 2 churches and also taught adjunct classes at 2 seminaries. He later taught at a small Christian school in Arlington, Grace Preparatory Academy until 2005. Frank loved and served the Lord first and foremost and then his family, friends and his country. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy. He is survived by his daughter Cathy Shaw and her husband Mike; grandchildren Michael Shaw, Jr and wife Jennifer, Alison Sheffield and husband Cratin; great-grandchildren Anthony and Aaron Shaw, Zane and Asher Sheffield; many wonderful nieces and nephews.
