Mary Jo Foster

HURST -- Mary Jo Foster, 97, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Friday. Mary Jo, the daughter of Knowles and Willie Mote Howard, was born June 16, 1916, in Greenwood. She had been a Hurst resident since 1955, and owned a beauty shop for many years in Hurst. She was active in the Hurst Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by six brothers and a grandson, Steven Foster. Survivors: Daughters, Linda Stidham (James), Janis Jenkins; son, Raymond Foster (Nora); seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Warren Howard.
