Michael Daniel Higgins

BEDFORD -- Michael Daniel Higgins, 67, beloved husband and father, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX. Interment will follow in Smithfield Cemetery in North Richland Hills. Family will receive friends on Sunday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Michael was born on December 12, 1946 in Louisville, KY to John and Rose Higgins and was the eldest of seven children. Michael married the love of his life, Michaele Ann Harper and together they shared 41 years of marriage. He enjoyed history and was proud of his Irish heritage. Michael was preceded in death by his father, John F. Higgins and sister, Julia Rose Price. Survivors: Wife, Michaele; son: Buddy Harper; daughters, Catherine Harper and husband, Jim Young, Lisa Howard and husband, Robert, and Laura Freeland and husband, Steve; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; mother: Rose M. Hargadon-Whitt; brothers: Patrick Higgins and Kevin Higgins; sisters, Kathleen Roy, Mary Frances Fredrick and Donna Faye Thompson; and numerous friends and relative.
